These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Step1st mobile application ("the App") operated by Step1st ("we", "our", or "us").

By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Description of the Service

Step1st is a productivity and wellness application designed to help users reduce distractions by temporarily restricting selected apps until a daily step goal is reached.

The App may use device features such as:

  • Motion & Fitness activity
  • Apple Health data (optional)
  • Screen Time controls

to enable its functionality.

Step1st processes most information locally on your device.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Step1st.

By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. User Responsibilities

When using Step1st, you agree to:

  • use the App in compliance with applicable laws
  • not attempt to misuse or interfere with the App's functionality
  • not attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the service

You are responsible for how you configure app restrictions and step goals within the App.

4. Health and Fitness Disclaimer

Step1st is intended for general wellness and productivity purposes only.

The App:

  • does not provide medical advice
  • does not diagnose or treat health conditions
  • should not be relied upon as a medical or fitness device

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

5. Permissions and Device Features

Some features of Step1st require system permissions, including:

  • Motion & Fitness activity access
  • Apple Health (HealthKit) step data access
  • Screen Time access

You may choose whether to grant these permissions.

Certain features of the App may not function properly if permissions are denied.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Step1st may offer optional Pro subscriptions that unlock additional features.

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store.

Billing

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Managing Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple account settings.

Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

7. Free Trial

Step1st may offer a free trial period for certain subscriptions.

If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription according to the selected plan.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, and software within the App are the property of Step1st unless otherwise stated.

You may not:

  • copy
  • distribute
  • modify
  • or create derivative works

from the App without permission.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep Step1st available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

The App may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time without prior notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Step1st shall not be liable for:

  • any indirect or incidental damages
  • loss of data
  • loss of productivity
  • or damages arising from the use or inability to use the App

Use of the App is at your own risk.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When updates are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.

Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
