Frequently Asked Questions
LonelyIsle is an app where you explore islands and listen to spatial ambient sound that changes as you move through each environment.
You can explore in two different ways:
In Free mode, you move through the island at your own pace.
In Auto mode, the island gently carries you along a continuous path.
Your movement shapes how the sound unfolds.
Yes. You can switch between two views:
A bird’s-eye view — wider, more atmospheric sound.
A zoomed-in view — closer detail, with clearer local sounds.
Tap anywhere on the map to pause.
Tap again to continue.
Yes — Background Playback is enabled by default.
When enabled, audio continues when you leave the app or lock your device.
In Auto mode, exploration also continues.
When disabled, everything pauses when the app is no longer in the foreground.
Some islands or experiences require a one-time purchase or subscription.
All payments are processed securely through Apple’s App Store.
Yes. You can restore your purchases at any time using the Apple ID you originally used.
LonelyIsle does not collect personal data.
Most information stays on your device and is used only to support app functionality. Nothing is shared with us or third parties.
